40 Money Affirmations to create abundance and transform your mindset
Let me just start this post by saying that when it comes to money affirmations, I used to be the biggest skeptic in the world. Like many other people, I’m all about taking practical steps to make more money, such as starting a side hustle or finding ways to save money on my lifestyle and expenses.
However, over the past couple of years I have opened my eyes to the world of developing a positive mindset and manifestation to encourage more money into my life. Part of this involves the use of money affirmations.
What I would say straight off the bat is money affirmations are not going to work all by themselves. You need to combine them with actions towards your goal of making more money.
With that being said, if you are working on a side hustle with a consistently negative mindset such as “This is hopeless, I’m never going to be a success” then it doesn’t take a genius to work out that it is not going to do you any favours compared to someone who is developing a positive mindset though the use of affirmations.
If you’re curious to learn more about money affirmations and how they might work for you, I have outlined some details in this post.
What is the Law of Attraction?
In order to understand how some people believe affirmations work, we need to look at a bit of background information about the Law of Attraction.
The Law of Attraction is the belief that positive or negative thoughts can attract positive or negative experiences into one’s life. While there is no scientific proof that this is true, many people believe in the power of the law and use it to improve their lives.
The law states that if you focus on positive thoughts and feelings, you will attract positive experiences into your life. Similarly, if you focus on negative thoughts and feelings, you will attract negative experiences into your life. Many people use the law of attraction to manifest their dreams and desires, believing that positive thoughts and feelings can bring about positive outcomes.
The first step in using the law of attraction is to become aware of your thoughts and feelings. Pay attention to what you are thinking and feeling throughout the day. Notice any patterns or recurring themes in your thoughts and feelings. Once you have identified any patterns or themes, you can begin to work on changing your thoughts and feelings to match your desired outcome.
Visualization is another powerful tool for manifesting your dreams and desires. Visualizing a positive outcome can help you to focus on what you want and believe that it is possible. Spend time each day visualizing yourself living your dream or achieving your goal. Imagine yourself surrounded by positive energy and visualize.
What is a money affirmation?
Money affirmations are simply statements you repeat to yourself that help you feel positive about your finances and help you focus on the good things in your life. They can be used to increase your overall happiness and well-being, and they can also help you manage your finances better.
The money affirmations could be written down, read, said aloud or listened to on a recording – or consumed in a combination of these ways.
Positive money affirmations can be simple or complex, but they all have two basic elements: an affirmation (a positive statement about yourself or your situation), and a reminder (a cue that will keep you focused on the affirmation).
Some examples of positive money affirmations include:
“I am financially secure,”
“I am able to meet my financial goals,”
“My bank account is always balanced.”
Why might we have a negative mindset towards money?
There are a few reasons why someone might have a negative mindset towards attracting money. Some people may have experienced financial difficulties in the past, which has caused them to develop a negative attitude towards money.
Others may believe that money is the root of all evil, and wanting to be rich is greedy. This is often replicated in popular culture right from childhood – think about how many villains from fairy tales and films are rich and greedy, and how many heroes and heroines are poor.
Finally, some people may simply not understand how money works, and so they think it is impossible to attract money into their lives. All of these beliefs are harmful and will prevent you from achieving your financial goals.
Until working with a coach, I didn’t realise that some of my own issues linked to money came from childhood experiences. It is definitely a fascinating area to explore about yourself, but one that many people simply dismiss as too “woo” for them.
If this is you, I can totally understand, as it was my own attitude for most of my life. Making small steps such as repeating money affirmations could be a great place to start.
How do you make money affirmations work fast?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, as the best way to make money affirmations work fast depends on your personal goals and preferences.
However, some tips that may help you include setting specific financial goals, tracking your progress regularly, and using a method that works for you (such as meditation or affirmation recordings).
How to use money affirmations
There are a lot of different ways to use money affirmations, and there are no set rules on how to use them.
Write them down
Writing them down in a notebook or journal is effective because you are physically taking the action of writing your intention down.
Read them often
Some people also like to print out their affirmations onto little cards that they can read through and repeat, and stick in places around their living space that they will see often.
You could even make money affirmation wallpaper so every time you log in to your computer, your affirmations are there.
Say them out loud
Reading your written statements out loud is another effective method because it takes a physical action rather than just reading them in your head. Some people like to do this as part of a meditation session.
Listen to them
You can also listen to them on audio or download them onto your smartphone. You might feel a bit silly making a recording of your own voice reading them out, but hearing yourself repeat these positive money affirmations is very powerful. And you can always use headphones to listen to them back!
I find a combination of all these methods is the most effective, but to avoid overwhelm, just pick one method and start with that. To help you begin, in the following sections you can find a collection of money affirmations to use.

Books to help with Money Mindset
Once you begin searching online for information about manifesting money, you can find some eye watering price tags to accompany some courses. However, some of the very same coaches that offer courses for thousands of dollars have also written books that you can buy for under £10, as well as offering free materials on their websites.
This is a great place to start to get a feel for a particular author or coach without spending very much at all.
Here are some of my recommended books for developing a positive money mindset. A quick caveat though – just like with the money affirmations -if you simply read, take no action, and forget then nothing will change. Taking action upon what you read is the most important step.
Tip – if like me, you prefer to listen to non fiction material as audiobooks, you can get a free 30 day Audible trial here. This includes one premium audiobook for free, as well as access to the Audible Plus library of free content.
You are a badass at Making Money – Jen Sincero
If you are someone (like me) that was or is really sceptical about manifestation and affirmations then Jen will be a very relatable read. It wasn’t until she was in her 40s that she started to change her mindset, and prior to this had believed that she would always struggle for money.
Something I can really relate to, and underpins much of what I blog about, is Jen’s statement that if she had spent the same amount of time and effort into improving how to attract money as she did into, for example, finding money off coupons to save 10c on a $50 purchase, then she may have found wealth and success much sooner.
It’s not about the money – Catherine Morgan
Catherine’s book offers a mixture of practical, achievable steps mixed with mindset and manifestation work. She is based in the UK which I feel makes her more approachable and relatable for a UK audience.
It is through working with Catherine on her program The Wealthy Woman School that I was able to work though my own subconscious money issues from childhood that I was previously unaware of.
This book is a great place to start if you need some help setting up your finances for the future, no matter what your income.
Amanda has a no BS approach that may not suit everyone, but this was a refreshing read and really got me challenging my own mindset.
Amanda’s courses are no small investment so to be able to access her teachings for under $10 would be a sound way of checking if her style is a fit for you without making a financial commitment.
Think and Grow Rich – Napoleon Hill
Although this book is approaching its 100 year anniversary, its message and philosophy still hold true. This is one of the reasons it is still a best seller today. I won’t lie, due to its age the style of writing can be tough to get though in places, and I found (as the author states himself) that it might take several reads before the messages start to sink in.
This is why I find non fiction books like this much more easy to digest on audiobook. And what’s more, this title is available in the free content library on Audible. So if you’re already an Audible member, you can download it for free.
Get a free 30 day Audible trial including 1 premium title – that means you can get any of the other books from this list PLUS Think and Grow Rich included.
Do money affirmations work?
There is no clear answer to this question as there is no scientific evidence to suggest that money affirmations work.
However, many people believe that they do because it feels good to think positively about money. Some people also believe that money affirmations help to increase the flow of money into your life.
As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, simply repeating money affirmations alone is not going to attract money into your life. But combining a positive mindset with consistent action towards your goals might be just the boost you need to keep going.
