Ikea Family Member discounts on products

Discounts on specific products are offered to Ikea Family members. The offers change frequently and from store to store, so it is not possible to give a list of current offers.

How to check what discounts are currently available

Online

Simply head to the Ikea website and log in to your Family account, then select offers to browse the offers that are currently available. 

You can also sign up for Ikea Family emails to keep up to date with the latest offers. 

In Store

You can head to the Ikea family digital screens in store to see what offers are available. Any offers will automatically be applied when you present your card at checkout.

While browsing the store, any products offering a discount will have IKEA Family price blue labels displayed. Of course, it is probably easier to check online first if you have a specific furniture item in mind, as not all items will be on display (and in Ikea, it is easy to miss things just because of the sheer size of the place!)

Ikea Family Cafe offers

Ikea are famous for offering affordable meals in their cafes, and with the Family card, you can save even more with these offers.

Free tea or coffee, Monday-Friday

All day every weekday, Ikea Family Card members can enjoy a free tea or coffee in the cafe*. These drinks also come with unlimited refills. Other hot drinks such as hot chocolate are not included in the offer and will need to be purchased.

In order to claim your free tea or coffee, simply present your Ikea Family Card at the tillpoint.

*Excludes IKEA Hammersmith and Aberdeen Order and Collection Point.

Breakfast roll & hot drink for 95p

Currently Ikea Family members can enjoy a breakfast roll and any hot drink for 95p between 9.30 – 11am. 

Kids eat from 95p

A kids pasta and tomato sauce meal is just 95p for Ikea Family card holders. All other children’s meals, such as the famous Ikea meatballs, are just £1.50. This offer is available every day from 11am.

Damage cover

While many people are aware of the other Ikea Family offers, I think this one is a bit of a hidden gem. Did you know that Ikea Family Card members get free transport & assembly damage insurance? 

Known as Oops-assurance, if something breaks during transport or whilst assembling furniture, Ikea will exchange it for free if it is claimed within 90 days of purchase. 

You must provide your receipt and the Family card must have been swiped at the time of purchase. This can only be claimed in store and not online.

This is great peace of mind as transporting and assembly are definitely the most high risk times for damage to occur!

Free member workshops and events

Did you know Ikea family members also get access to free workshops and events? These range from home furnishing workshops to children’s events and vary from store to store.

To find out what’s on at your local store, log in to your Family account and head to the Store Events page.

Digital receipts and manuals

This is another lesser known perk of Ikea Family membership, but copies of all of your receipts are stored digitally within the member’s area of your account. This could be especially handy when it comes to guarantees or returns.

Additionally, assembly manuals of products you buy are also automatically added to your member’s area, which could come in handy if you need to reassemble a product after moving house, for example.

Is My Entire Family Given Membership on My IKEA Family Account? 

No. The name Ikea Family refers to becoming a member of Ikea’s “family”, rather than a family membership. Offers such as the free hot drink are limited to one per customer so each adult would need their own card to benefit.

Obviously with offers such as product discounts and damage insurance, it wouldn’t matter whose card was swiped in order to benefit, so you might find that one card is enough for your family anyway.

Can I add a purchase to my Family Card retrospectively?

No, you would need to swipe or scan your Ikea Family card at the time of purchase to gain any discounts or damage cover protection. 

Is the IKEA Family Membership Card a Credit Card? 

No, the Ikea Family card is not a credit card. However Ikea do offer credit plans for some purchases. See the details here.

Can I Use My Ikea Family Card in another country?

IKEA Family Cards can only be used in the country in which they have been issued in.

If you would like to take advantage of an IKEA Family discount in a different country, you would need to register an account in the desired country with an alternative email address to your current Family card account.
