You can access the Argos toy sale both in store and online. Sometimes you may find that items that have sold out online are still available for collection within a local store, so its good to check both options.
Top tip – As Sainsbury’s now owns Argos, you may find stock in a Sainsbury’s store if it is sold out at Argos. Although Sainsbury’s only stock a smaller range of Argos toys, it could be worth a try.
Can I return purchases made in the toy sale?
Yes, in line with the Argos regular returns policy, you will be able to return unused items in their original condition within 30 days of purchase. You will also need your receipt, which can be paper or a digital copy. See here for full details.
Tips to get the best deals in the Argos Toy Sale
List and track your toy purchases
Get organised before the sale even starts by making a list of what you’re looking out for. This could be just the general brands, such as Lego or Barbie. As mentioned above, the Argos website could be a good place to start to see what might be featured in the toy sale. Make sure you make a note of the full price and do a quick online comparison with other toy retailers.
This will help you save time and stay focused on finding what you need when the sale actually starts, as well as if the sale price is actually a bargain or not.
After your purchase, make sure you keep a record of what you have bought, who it is for and how much it cost so you can easily keep track. It can be so easy to end up overbuying for Christmas, especially if you are starting early, and end up negating any savings from the sales!

Make sure you use your Nectar Card
Because Argos is now owned by Sainsbury’s, you will earn Nectar points on all Argos purchases. It probably goes without saying, but make sure you collect Nectar points on your toy sale purchases. All Argos toy sale products are eligible for Nectar points.
Use Cashback
In addition to earning Nectar points, check if you can earn cashback on your Argos purchases. Cashback offers can change frequently, but currently Topcashback are offering up to 4.25% cashback at Argos.

Do a price comparison
As mentioned above, try and have a look at a few toy retailers and note their prices before heading to the sale. It can be all too easy, especially when in the store, to get carried away with what looks like a great bargain, only to find that the “sale price” is the same as the RRP elsewhere.
While this won’t matter so much if you are picking up items you definitely want, if you are getting carried away picking up extras because they are “bargains” but with no real idea who they will be gifts for, you could end up wasting money.
If in doubt, you can always pick up the items and then do a quick price comparison check on your phone in store.
What other Toy offers does Argos have?
Throughout the year, Argos may have a number of smaller offers on toys, as well as year-round offers on selected Toys, including 2 for £15, 2 for £20, and 2 for £30.
In some cases, this can save you up to half price, such as this Crayola art set that is £20 or can be bought as part of the 2 for £30 offer.
This is a great opportunity to shop strategically to get the best value from these offers, you could use it as an opportunity to stock up on gifts for children’s parties.
Using the 2 for £20 offer, I was able to buy 2 £18 Lego sets for £10 each, representing a saving of £16!
