Morrisons More Loyalty Card: Benefits, Rewards & Updates

Morrisons More…My Morrisons…It’s hard to keep up with all the changes to Morrison’s loyalty scheme. After initially scrapping the More scheme and points in 2020, in May 2023 it is back again after taking on board customer feedback. (And, to take on its supermarket rivals’ loyalty schemes no less).

In recent years, the loyalty scheme has undergone several changes both in its name and the way rewards are collected and redeemed, which has lead to some confusion for shoppers. So if your head is spinning, fear not as in this post, we will look at the most up to date (May 2023) version of the Morrisons More scheme and how to make the most of the rewards offered.

What is the Morrisons More Loyalty scheme?

Similar to other UK supermarkets, My Morrisons is a rewards programme for customers of UK supermarket chain Morrisons. The programme allows customers to earn points for their purchases, which can be redeemed for discounts and other rewards.

How to earn points with Morrisons More

In a similar fashion to the Asda Rewards scheme, points can be earned when buying specific items in store. The latest offers will be available to see in store and within the Morrisons More app. These will include general offers available to all, and personalised offers based on your own shopping habits.

You can also earn 5 points per litre of fuel purchased at Morrison’s filling stations.

Morrison’s More prices

In a similar move to Sainsbury’s Nectar Prices and Tesco Clubcard prices, Morrisons now offers More Prices on selected items, meaning that loyalty card holders will pay less than the RRP. These schemes have seen mixed reviews when introduced in the other supermarkets, as some people do not want to share their shopping habits with the stores by linking to a loyalty card.

Personally, as they are free and come with a range of offers, I don’t object to sharing this information. After all, if it means offers are more targeted towards the products I actually buy then this is more useful for me.

Basket Bonus

Another benefit is the Basket Bonus – where you can earn the chance to get a special offer every time you swipe your card at Morrisons. Rewards could include money off vouchers or a free gift from one of the in-store Market Street counters.

Other Morrisons Loyalty Programs

In addition to the My Morrisons loyalty scheme, Morrisons offers other loyalty programs that customers can take advantage of to save money and earn rewards.

Christmas Savers Club

The Christmas Savers Scheme is a program that allows customers to save money throughout the year to use towards Christmas shopping. Customers can sign up for the scheme in-store and make regular payments into their account. Morrisons will then add a bonus to the account in November to help customers with their Christmas shopping.

The Christmas Savers Scheme is a great way for customers to budget for Christmas and avoid the stress of last-minute shopping. Customers can also earn extra rewards by using their Morrisons More card to make payments into their Christmas Savers account.

Morrisons Clubs

As well as the Christmas savers club, Morrisons offers several other clubs where eligible customers can enjoy special offers and savings. These are as follows:

NHS Club – To be eligible, you need to register with an NHS email address that will be validated.

Teacher’s club – Again, you will need to register with an official email address from your educational place of work which will be verified.

Baby Club – To access special offers on baby products, you can register for the Morrisoon’s Baby Club. You will need to provide the personal details for your child.

Student Club – In order to register for the Student Club, you need to sign up with an ac.uk email address.

Morrisons Cafe Loyalty Scheme

The Cafe Collector loyalty scheme where customers could earn their 10th hot drink free looks to have been removed under the May 2023 changes, as the webpage on the official Morrison’s website for this scheme is now missing.

Instead, there appear to be offers to earn More points when purchasing food and drink in the cafe. Whether this will replace the Cafe Collector scheme remains to be seen.

How to Get a Morrisons More Card

Getting a Morrisons Loyalty Card is easy and free. Customers can apply for a card online, via the Morrisons More app or in-store. To apply online, customers need to visit the Morrisons website and fill out a short application form. To apply in-store, customers need to visit their local Morrisons and ask for a card at the customer service desk.

A digital More Card will be created via the app, meaning you can start earning points immediately. Although physical cards are no longer issued automatically, you can still request one in store if you would like. Any existing cards will continue to work.

The Morrisons MoreApp is a convenient way for Morrisons customers to access their My Morrisons Loyalty Card account on their mobile device. The app is available for download on both the Apple Store and Google Play.

How to Download the Morrisons More App

To download the Morrisons App, customers can visit the Apple Store or Google Play and search for “Morrisons More”. Once downloaded, customers can log in to their account or create a new one.

How to Use the Morrisons More App

The Morrisons More App allows customers to access their digital coupons, personalised offers, promotions, and rewards all in one place. Customers can view their rewards balance and track their progress towards earning a £5 voucher. They can also scan their Morrisons More Card at the checkout to earn points and redeem rewards.

Benefits of Using My Morrisons App

The My Morrisons App offers several benefits to customers. Firstly, customers can access their personalised offers and promotions, which are tailored to their shopping habits and preferences. This means that customers can save money on the products they love.

Secondly, customers can easily keep track of their rewards balance and progress towards earning a £5 voucher. This means that customers can see how close they are to earning a reward and can plan their shopping accordingly.

The Morrisons More App also allows customers to access their digital coupons, which can be redeemed at the checkout.

How to Redeem Morrisons More Points

Once you have collected enough points, you can redeem them for money off your shopping. Every 5,000 points you collect is worth £5, or “Fivers” as they are called in the scheme, which can then be deducted from your shopping as a £5 off voucher.

You will have 12 months from the time the voucher is created to redeem it, after which time it will expire.

Is it worth having a Morrisons More card?

In a word, yes. If you are a regular Morrison’s shopper, even more so. As the card is completely free and you can earn points for money-off your shopping, as well as access exclusive prices, it’s a no brainer.

With a range of benefits and discounts available, it’s definitely worth signing up for.
